Somebody recently asked me if I were afraid to die?
My answer: no more than I am afraid to cry!
Part of life is coping with dying
And if I can cope with dying, I can deal with crying…
Death comes in many ways, both fast and slow
But in the end, death consumes out soul
I’ll die when I take my last breath
Until then there’s no need to worry about death…
Am I afraid to perish in prison? Hell no! I’m breathin’ I’m livin’
Why fear what you can’t control?
When it’s your time you’ll add to the death toll…
We all die a bit more each and every day And we all cope with death in our own way
We can accept death, or fear death?
Either way, you’ll eventually gasp for your last breath…

The thing that I really like about this is how all of the poems are coupled with the pictures. It really works!
Interesting…dark
Death is a scary thing but no one should be afraid of it. They should live their life to its fullest and when its their time, itll happen. You cant control it.
i like this one a lot. fear of death is a often universal thing and it is very interesting to hear the perspective of an inmate; and i like this perspective
I agree with Sammy, we are all coping with dying everyday. I like Sammy’s perspective on death.
Hmmmmm …. This seems unique, death is an inevitable part of life that we must all face. Some people have already seen death through friends and family. I worry about those who have never experienced death. I can imagine that prisoners feel as those they experience death in their cell.
